Oscar was born September 25, 1949 in Marfa, Tx to Joe Herrera, Sr. and Lilia Dominguez Herrera. He served on a tour of Germany in the US Army. He attended college, graduating with a degree in criminal justice. He was employed as a probation officer for many years. He then worked as a store manager at Smith’s in Albuquerque. He enjoyed listening to “the oldies” and dancing.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by two daughters, Sonia Padilla and Natashia Herrera; two sons, Sonny David Herrera and Victor Herrera; two sisters, Delfa Razo and Elodia Aguilar; one brother, Joe D. Herrera, Jr. and his grandchildren, Isaac, Janae, Adena and Jacob Padilla, Elijah and Lucas Herrera.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
