Pancho Rojas, 82, passed away January 19, 2020.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 23, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, 1200 S. Washington. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Pancho was born in Corpus Christi, TX on August 6, 1937 to Virginia Rojas. He proudly served in the United States Airforce as Military Police and upon completion of his service duty, he then moved home to Dalhart, TX. Dalhart is where he and wife of fifty eight years, Clara Vargas Rojas raised six children. Pancho had a successful career with Union Pacific Railroad as a Track Inspector and retired after forty-two years of injury free service.
His favorite hobbies included golfing and spending time with his ever growing family. He was a fantastic father, our rock and always gave good advice. He was honorable in being the perfect husband and father. He gave encouragement to always be our best and was always reliable when we needed him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Rojas; and granddaughter, Josephine Rojas.
Pancho is survived by his wife, Clara Rojas of Amarillo; sons, Dennis Rojas and wife Grace of Dalhart, Aaron Rojas and wife Erin of Amarillo; daughters, Laurie Rojas, Karla Plischke, Andrea Rojas and Elena Loomis and husband Dan, all of Amarillo. He was very proud to have 10 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
