Pat A. Winfrey, 82, of Amarillo, TX died Friday Sept 13, 2013.

Memorial Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Saint Stephens United Methodist Church with Dr. Jim Smith and Dr. Stan Cosby officiating. Private burial will be at Memory Gardens.  Arrangements by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S Georgia.

Visitation will be on Monday, September, 16, 2013 at Schooler Funeral Home from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

Pat was born on Oct 13, 1930, in Wichita Falls, TX to Clyde and Bess Alexander Winfrey.  Pat married the love of his life, Patsy Ruth Jackson, in 1951 in Wichita Falls.  He retired from Southwestern Bell (AT&T) in 1989 after forty years of dedicated service.  His work started in Wichita Falls and took his family to Fort Worth, Bowie, St Louis, MO, Lubbock and Amarillo where he has spent the last 46 years.  Pat was a loyal member of Saint Stephens United Methodist Church where he was an Usher for many years. He was a member of the Bridgebuilders Sunday School class and the STARS choir. Pat volunteered his time to deliver Meals on Wheels with his wife Patsy. He enjoyed golf, fishing, playing Bridge, dancing, travelling, cheering his favorite teams and spending quality time with his family and friends. Pat was a good Christian man that always put God and family first in his life.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sue Moser; son, Dr. Michael K. Winfrey; daughter, Mary Ann Juels; and granddaughter, Bess Morgan Winfrey.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Winfrey; daughter, Janet Samuelson and her husband, Brad of Arlington, son, David Winfrey and his wife, Mary Jo of Orange, Son in law, Todd Juels and his wife Leslie of Lubbock, Daughter in law, Rita Ann Winfrey Woodruff of Lewisville, Grandchildren Bonnie Woody and her husband, Wade and children, Calen and Ella; Danielle and Blake Samuelson, Molly Winfrey, Samuel Patrick and Luke Juels. Also surviving Pat is Brother in law, C.W. “Cedar” Jackson and wife, Barbara of Cedar Hill, Sister in law Bettye Langston of Derby, KS; numerous nieces & nephews and many loyal friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Saint Stephens United Methodist Church at 4600 S Western in Amarillo, TX.
