Patricia Guerra, age 96 of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 15, 2016
Rosary will be said today at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Mass will be celebrated 2:00 PM, Saturday, at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Scott Raef as celebrant. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Patricia was born March 17, 1920 in DeLeon to Manuel and Anita Ribera. She was married to Julio Guerra for more than sixty years before he passed in 2000. Patricia was a devout catholic and attended mass regularly as long as she was able. She loved the Dallas Cowboys and would not miss a game. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers; and three sisters.
Patricia is survived by four daughters, Olivia Alvarado and husband, Juan of Gerin, NB, Teresa Guerra of Amarillo, Minerva Reynoso and husband, Richard of Amarillo, and Rosemary McGuiness and husband, Tim of Stamford, CT; four sons, Joe Guerra and wife, Nellie of Yuma, AZ, Santos Guerra and wife, Geneva of Warr Acres, OK, Leon Guerra and wife, Rebecca of Vista, CA, and Julio Guerra, Jr. and wife Julie of Amarillo; one sister, Josephine Hernandez of Heyburn, ID; thirty-one grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; and eleven great- great-grandchildren.
