Patrick Ervin Ferguson

November 17, 1929 — July 29, 2010

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday July 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Llano Cemetery with Pastor Randy Davis, of Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Patrick was born to Ervin and Lillian Ferguson in Terre-Haute Indiana. He moved with his parents to Amarillo in 1934 and lived here for the remainder of his life. Patrick was a contractor and builder in Amarillo. He served as a gunner aboard the U.S.S. St. Paul in the South Pacific during W.W. II. He helped train the military in Judo out at the Amarillo Air Base. He was a black belt in Judo and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Lubbock. Patrick was a gardener and very family oriented. He was a member of Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church,  the VFW and the American Legion. Patrick was steadfast and devoted in everything he did and will be missed dearly. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff of The Texan Nursing Home for taking care of him in his last years.He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack V. Ferguson.He is survived by sisters, Mary R. Gunter, Wanda Randklev; brother Charles Ferguson     and numerous nieces and nephews.
