Patsy Ruth Miller Bryan, 79 of Amarillo died Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016 at The Church of Quail Creek with Rev. Bob Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Patsy was born July 28, 1937 to Fred and Bess Miller in Childress, Texas. She graduated from Claude High School and shortly after she married the love of her life, James G. Bryan on December 3, 1954. Together they had two daughters. Patsy excelled at being a homemaker, wife and mother. Her favorite saying was, “All I ever wanted to be is a Mother. When my kids grew up my job was over.” Along with being a mother, Patsy was a Real Estate Agent for many years. She was awarded Realtor of the Year at Scott and Company.
Patsy was an accomplished seamstress creating beautiful crochet and needlepoint work. She was also known to be an outstanding baker. She was a member of The Church of Quail Creek. She enjoyed being very active in the church and Sunday School.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sisters, Linda Beth Miller and Cathy DeBord.
Patsy is survived by her husband James; two daughters, Twila Bryan Richvalsky and husband David of Waialua, Hawaii and Tawnya Jan Bryan of Amarillo, Texas; a granddaughter, Kelsey Bryan DeMarce and husband Robert Edward of Cypress, Texas; a grandson, David James Richvalsky of Palmer, Alaska; two sisters, Jody Blackwell of Hereford, Texas and Reta DeBord and husband Melvin of Van Alstyne, Texas; a brother, Bob Miller and wife Glenda of Amarillo, Texas; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
