Paul Aaron Buckles

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Hillside Christian Church West Campus Auditorium with Pastor Kevin Oakley of Mescalero Baptist Church and Pastor Danny Mize of Fellowship of Believers in Hereford officiating. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.

Sgt. Buckles was born September 25, 1956 in Amarillo. He graduated from Canyon High School in 1975. He served in the US Air Force as a security police officer over silo missiles. Mr. Buckles started working for Potter County Sherriff’s Department in March of 1988. Through his tenure he clocked 2600 hours of training. He held a master jailer and peace officer license through TCLOE. Sgt. Buckles served 26 years with the Sherriff’s Department. He was a singer and a song writer.

He is preceded in death by his father, Merrill, and a brother, Steve.

He is survived by his son, Jack E. Buckles, his sisters, Cynthia Fesler and Susan Dunlap, his brothers, Daniel Buckles and wife Donna, Bill Scott and wife Debi, Chuck Scott and wife Corina, James Scott and wife Sharon, and Pat Scott and wife LaRae, his mother, Carolyn Buckles and his step-mother, Estelle Buckles, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
