Paul A. Teichmann 72, of Amarillo, passed away on June 26, 2014. Rosary will be at 6:00 pm Sunday, June 29, at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 30, at St. Hyacinth’s Catholic Church with Rev. Jim Schmitmeyer officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St.
Paul was born in Amarillo, on April 20, 1942 to Fred and Rose Teichmann. He joined the United States Navy in 1962 serving in the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1964. Paul married Bernadette Sweatt on December 2, 1967. He worked for Pantex for 35 years and as a member of St. Hyacinth’s Catholic Church for 45 years. He was a volunteer for Mothers Against Drunk Driving for 20 years, Harrington Cancer Center, and was a life member of Refrigeration Service Engineers Society
He was preceded in death by his son Phillip Alan Teichmann, and his parents.
Survivors include his wife Bernadette, a son Paul Teichmann II, three sisters, a brother and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers family suggests memorials be made to Harrington Cancer Center, 1600 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106 or St. Judes Research Center.
