Paula was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Allsboro, Ala., to Charles Washington Harrell and Stella Star Stanford Harrell. She graduated from high school in 1945.
Her professional life was spent in real estate, inns and restaurants, and with her husband, Henry D. Witt, was a part of the newly formed hotel company Holiday Inns of America.
She married Henry David Witt of Danville, Va. Together they had a daughter, Phyllis June Payne of Amarillo.
Paula also had two sons, Bobby E. Wadkins and Jerry W. Wadkins, both of Sandusky, Ohio, and a daughter, Virginia Hobbs.
She was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Henry; her parents; a sister, Claudine Scott; two brothers, Charles Harrell and Eugene Harrell; a son, Bobby E. Wadkins; a daughter, Virginia Hobbs; and a granddaughter, Candice Wadkins.
Survivors include a sister, Kathleen Hubbard of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a daughter, Phyllis Payne of Amarillo; a son, Jerry Wadkins of Sandusky; twelve grandchildren, Heather, Bobby, Christopher, Jeff, Joey, Laura, Lisa, Chad, Charles, Michele, Renee and Christina; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
