Peggy Alexander age 81 of Amarillo, died May 7, 2016.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 10 AM at Kingswood United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Brad Reeves will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Peggy was born September 23, 1934 in Hereford to Aubrey and Ermal Bell. On April 12, 1952 she married Robert Alexander in Clovis, New Mexico. Their love affair would last over the next sixty four years. In the beginning, Robert was her life but her life and love expanded to include their three children. Peggy was a caregiver; who loved and lived for her family. She was also a long time devoted member of Kingswood United Methodist Church.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home tonight from 6 PM until 7 PM.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Patty Jean; five sisters; two brothers; a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
She is survived by her husband Robert; a son Robert Alexander and his wife Cynthia of Amarillo; two daughters, Jan Lehnert of Amarillo and Cindy Valdez and her husband Ernest of Granbury; a brother Jimmy Bell and his wife Marilyn of Hereford; nine grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
