Peggy Pierce Anderson, 87 of Amarillo was born October 19, 1930 and passed away peacefully August 11, 2017.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Llano Cemetery Mausoleum with Dr. Burt Palmer, Senior Pastor of Polk Street United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas 79110.
Peggy was born in Bovina, TX to the late W. N. and Thelma Hough Pierce. She was raised in Booker, TX where she met and married the late “Corky” Anderson on June 14, 1948. During their 56 years of marriage, they had 3 children, Tony, Janie, and Pierce.
In her later years, she resided at The Canyons and Brookdale where she had many friends and was an avid card player, even winning tournaments. She was loved by all and her “spark” will be missed. She was always such a bright light in her family’s lives.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband “Corky”, son Pierce, and grandson, Sean. Survivors include her son Tony and wife Kae of Amarillo, daughter Janie and husband Mark of Ft. Worth, four grandchildren, Adam and wife Melanie, Brandon and wife Renee, Ginger and husband Michael, and Casey and husband Tyler. She also had seven great grandchildren, Carter, Millie, Maddy, Luke, Carter, Karis and Kirby; her brother Bill and wife Vera of Amarillo; a sister, Jean of Stillwater, OK along with several nephews and close friends.
