Peggy Frances Conner

April 6, 1933 — December 9, 2015

Peggy Collier Conner age 82 of Amarillo died December 9, 2015 in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 14th at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel.  The Dr. Sheldon DeVries will officiate.  Burial will be at Memory Garden Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Peggy was born April 6, 1933 in Plainview to Everett and Oleta Collier.  She graduated from Floydada High School in 1949.  She married the love of her life, R. Fred Conner, in 1950 in Floydada.
The family moved to Amarillo in December of 1974.  Initially she worked in real estate before becoming a teaching assistant.  Peggy then began working at Heath’s Fine Furniture for the next 20 years until her retirement.
She liked to decorate and plant in her flower garden; however her first love was her family.  She was always there for anyone who needed her.  Peggy was a devoted mother to her daughters and cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend gratitude to the staff of The Cottages for their compassionate care given to Peggy.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Fred on October 30, 2013 and by two sisters, Carolyn Parkey and Katie Conner.
Survivors include four daughters, Roxane Furnish and husband Bing of Guymon, Okla., Rhonda Pritchard and husband Mike of Glendale, AZ,  Rochelle Ford and husband John and Renetta Fletcher and husband Cory, all of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Bret, Beau, Breanne, Dustin, Cody, Kaylee and Chase; and three great-grandchildren, Bryson, Rylee and Evan.
The family suggests memorials be made to The Cottages, 6811 Plum Creek Amarillo, Texas 79106
