Ralph E. Richards, age 89 of Amarillo died September 25, 2014 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be on Monday, September 29, 2014 at 10:00 AM in Brentwood Chapel, Schooler Funeral Home.
The Rev. Dale Moreland of the Church at Quail Creek will officiate. Burial will be held at Llano Cemetery.
Service arrangements are entrusted to Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Ralph was born on July 23, 1925 in Artesia, New Mexico to Jack Edward and Viola Almedia Richards. The family moved to Amarillo in 1928. He married Dolores Flack on June 15, 1949.
Ralph worked in the plumbing industry for over 35 years with Clowe and Cowan.
He was a member on Quail Creek Baptist Church, but had previously been a member of Industrial City Baptist Church and Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Ralph also worked hard to help promote Bible Heritage School.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Cecil Aaron Richards; a son Lonnie Richards; and his loving wife Dolores on October 2, 2008.
Survivors include a son Terry D. Richards and wife Becky of Amarillo; and a daughter Mylinda K. Taylor and husband Greg of Arlington; five grandchildren, James, Brian, Gill, Colt and Grace;
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
