Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, at First United Methodist Church, Bovina, Texas. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mrs. Lara was born June 11, 1935 in Robstown, Texas, to Manuel Treviño and Leonires Villalobos Treviño. She married her sweetheart, Eleazar Lara in 1967.
Ramona was a very spiritual person and loved singing in the church. She touched many lives with her singing and kind spirit. She was a great mother and person and loved her many grandchildren. Ramona will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her son, Oscar Hernandez and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Eleazar; two daughters, Amelida Soto and husband Pedro of Amarillo; Sally Lara of Bovina; three sons, Jesus Manuel Gonzales of Amarillo; Israel Hernandez and wife Janie of Lubbock; and Eleazar Lara, Jr. and wife Suki, of Lubbock; two sisters, Modesta DeLeon of Amarillo, and Margarita Treviño of Dallas; three brothers, Jose Treviño of Bovina; Anselmo Treviño and Gilbert Prieto, both of McKinney. She is also survived by her loving 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
