Randy Barela

Randy Barela, 57, of San Antonio died Thursday, December 10, 2020.

Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, December 17, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral, 1200 S Washington Street. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.

Randy was born on October, 12, 1963 in Hereford, Texas to Daniel and Ginger Barela. He was raised in Amarillo with his sister Dannette and brothers Ray and Robert. He graduated from Caprock High School in 1982 and attended Southwest Texas State in San Marcos shortly after moving to San Antonio. He worked for Laurel Ridge Treatment Center in San Antonio for 36 years. Randy loved to travel. He loved to spend time with family and friends. He was also a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.

He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Barela.

Survivors include his parents Daniel and Ginger Barela of Amarillo, sister Dannette Riojas and brother Ray Barela, both of Amarillo, and many nieces and nephews.
