Rebecca Maria Blea, age 68, of Amarillo died Monday, May 9, 2016.

A rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 11th at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Carolyn A. Nuthman, Chaplain will officiate.  Interment will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.

Rebecca was born May 29, 1947 in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico to Augustine and Eliza Casaus.  She married her beloved, Martin Blea on November 11, 1967 in Ft. Sumner.  This year the couple would have celebrated forty nine years of marriage.

The couple moved from Ft. Sumner to Roswell and to Clovis where the children attended school.  In 1993, they made the move to Amarillo.  It was in Amarillo that Rebecca began working for Nunn Electric.  She worked as account supervisor until the company sold in 2006.
Traveling was one of the things Rebecca truly enjoyed.  She and Donna visited San Francisco and New York on more than one occasion and treasured those trips. Rebecca also enjoyed reading and strived to stay current and keep her mind sharp.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Augustine Jr, “Pito”

She is survived by her husband Martin; her son Martin Anthony Blea and his wife Melinda; her daughter Donna Forrester and her husband Barry of Amarillo; a sister, Tina Archuleta and her husband Simon; three brothers, Felix Casaus and his wife Anna of Belen, NM, Procopio  “Popo” Casaus of Rosewell and Albert Casaus and his wife Ann; two grandchildren, C.J. Hernandez and Brandon McAlpine; and many other special family members.
