Mr. Daniel was born January 16, 1923 in Yellow Pine, LA to W.A. and Mattie Daniel. He married Frances Fuller on April 20, 1946 in Amarillo.
Dan proudly served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. He was Past Master of the Mason’s San Jacinto Lodge 1330 and was a recipient of the Golden Trowell Award. Dan was employed at Sears from 1960-1987 and then at Park Place Towers from 1987-1997. His family often teased him about having “failed” at retirement. He always stayed busy and he and his wife were members of Paramount Baptist Church since 1966. He loved racing and fishing but mostly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved of over 60 years, Frances; his parents; 3 brothers, J.W. Daniel, W.A. Daniel and Fred Daniel; and one sister, Ruby Daniel.
Dan is survived by his son Reggie and his wife Pam of Amarillo; one sister, Bobbie Booth of Sibley, LA; grandchildren, Chris Daniel and wife Christin, and Tiffany Daniel; and one great-grandson, Joshua Daniel.
The family wants to send a special thank you to the caregivers at Plum Creek Nursing Home and BSA Hospice for their tender care of Dan.
