Reneé Marie Weinheimer, 47, of Groom, Texas died Thursday, November 14, 2013.
Vigil services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 17, 2013, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Groom. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2013, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Groom with the Rev. Akoria Raj Samala as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Groom. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo.
Renee was born April 3, 1966 in Tulia to Ed and Leola Ramaekers. She married the love of her life, Nick, on May 14, 1994, and they were married 19 ½ years to the day at the time of her passing.
She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she sang at the Saturday evening Mass, was a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector. She also served as Director of Religious Education at the church as well as a religion teacher, assisted with the Catholic Youth Group, and was a member of the Christian Mother Society. Renee enjoyed sports and was a Pee-wee basketball coach. She was an elementary teacher in Pampa and Groom and served as a teacher for the Mothers’ Day Out program and was a member of the Groom School Board.
She always made herself available to help on the farm and was an excellent combine driver. She delivered delicious, home-cooked meals to the harvest crew in the wheat fields. Renee was a giver of self and a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, teacher and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to send out a special “Thank You” to all of those who have shared their love, prayers, and support to the family during Renee’s time of illness. Renee lived life by the scripture, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Ramaekers and a nephew, Brennan Hofmann.
Survivors include her husband, Nick; five children, Amy Cari, Blake, Derek, and Ryan Weinheimer; her mother, Leola Ramaekers of Nazareth; five sisters, Mary Beth Gerber and husband Joel and Vera Huseman and husband Derwin all of Nazareth, Naomi Valdez and husband Joe of Dalhart, Doretta Gerber and husband Kenny of Pampa, and Marla
Gales and husband Shawn of Canyon; four brothers, Glenn, Rex and wife Vera Lou, Brian and wife Peggy all of Nazareth, and Larry and wife Tammy of Canyon; also many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews who were very special to her.
