Rhonda Leann Cooper

August 20, 1962 — October 31, 2014

Rhonda Leann Cooper, 52, of Amarillo, passed away on October 31, 2014.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Hillside Christian Church Amarillo South Campus, 6901 South Bell. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.

Rhonda was born in Amarillo, Texas on August 20, 1962 to Marilyn and Preston Mann. She attended Amarillo High School, where she graduated in 1980. She completed college at Amarillo College, where she received a degree in nursing.

Rhonda worked as a registered nurse and enjoyed spending time with her family. Rhonda was also a proud Gigi.  She loved her family and her animals.  She was married to Chris for 31 wonderful years.  They met in Amarillo where they enjoyed team penning and dancing together.  They had three children.  She loved her job and always had compassion for her patients.  Her hobbies included horses, going to the movies, and spending time with her wonderful grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Granny and Grandad, Willie Myrle and M.C.”Kirk" Kuykendall, of Amarillo and her grandmother and grandfather Opal and Hubert Mann, of Hedley.

Rhonda is survived by her husband, Chris Cooper, of Amarillo; her daughters, Kelsey Barbour, and her husband, Bryan, of Lubbock, Whitney Brown, and her husband, Corey, of Amarillo, her son, Colby Cooper and fiancé Wendy Harden, of Seguin; her loving parents, Marilyn and Preston Mann, of Amarillo; her brothers and their wives, Brent and Connie Mann of Abilene, and Monte and Jennifer Mann, of Allen; her four perfect grandbabies, Cooper and Brylee Barbour, and Carley and Kyndal Brown; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She will be greatly missed, and always remembered and loved by us all.

Memorial donations may be made in Rhonda’s name to Hearing Loss Association of America, 7910 Woodmount Ave., Suite 1200, Bethesda, MD 20814
