Richard Lee Pumphrey, 79, of Amarillo died February 7, 2019.

Richard was born March 4, 1939 in Fort Worth, TX to Otis and Verna Pumphrey. He married Jan Nimmo on March 5, 1966.

His love for family always came first. He was a huge WWII military history buff, he also enjoyed woodworking; he was very artistic and scratch built sailing ships. He loved target shooting and was a huge fan of 1960 era Pontiacs.

Richard is survived by his wife Jan Pumphrey; son Chris Pumphrey and wife Bunny; two grandchildren, Cameron and Chloe.
