Robert E. Cisneros, age 53 of Amarillo, died Thursday, September 29, 2011.
Family will receive friends at Schooler Funeral Home today from 12:00-2:00 PM.
Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 PM at St. Laurence Catholic Church on Monday, Oct 3, with Father Gabriel Garcia officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.

Robert was born on June 6, 1958 in Guadalajara, Jalisco Mexico to Sabas Cisneros-Luna and Sara Escamilla-Vasquez. His family moved to Claude Texas where he was raised and he graduated from Claude High School. Robert married the love of his life, Leticia Ramirez on December 28, 1985. His son, Charlie “CC” brought him tremendous joy and Robert was very proud of Charlie’s commitment to the US Marines. He was not only a father to his son, but also, his best friend.
Robert worked at BSA as a cook and had many loyal friends there. He loved watching NASCAR, football, baseball, soccer, collecting trading cards and reading comic books. He especially loved gardening and working in his backyard which is filled with his love everywhere you look. He also loved cooking out with his family.
Robert is described as a loving family man, a devoted husband and father who never met a stranger and everybody who knew him, loved him. He was like a father to his brother and sisters.
He was known to be very accommodating and always put others first. His final act of generosity was as a donor to Life Gift.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother Sara Cisneros, whom he longed to see and his father in law, Jose Carlos Ramirez.
Survivors include his wife Leticia; a son, Roberto Carlos “Charlie/CC” Cisneros and fiancé Jessica Palacios; three sisters, Anna Haataja and husband Alan, Catalina Guzman and husband Luis, Maria Vasquez and husband Mando; one brother, Jose Cisneros, Jr. and wife Lisa; his father, Sabas Cisneros-Luna; one Grandchild who is expected to arrive in February; three Brothers-in-law, Javier Ramirez & Family, Carlos Ramirez & Family, Gustavo Ramirez & Family; five sisters-in law, Marta Ramirez & Family, Irma Ramirez & Family, Maria Ramirez & Family, Olivia Ramirez & Family and Elizabeth Ramirez & Family; a host of nieces & nephews who loved him dearly as “grandpa”; and extended family in Albuquerque, California, Guadalajara, Chihuahua and Durango, Mexico.
