Buddy Stoner, 81, of Amarillo, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2016 at Trinity Fellowship Church West Campus with Rev. Kyle Wilkinson and Rev. John Love officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Buddy was born on May 3, 1935 in Houston to Harry and Elva Stoner. He graduated from Amarillo High in 1953. He proudly served in the Air Force before serving as an Army Special Forces Green Beret. He then went to work as a Fireman at Pantex, retiring in 2007. Buddy was a servant to the Lord and having a servant’s heart, he loved serving others. He was a very generous person.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Harry Stoner.
Buddy is survived by his daughter, Cindy Gamblin and husband Reg of Amarillo; one son, Scott Stoner of Grand Junction, CO; four grandchildren, Christina Coghill, Clifford Coghill, Austin Stoner and Aaron Stoner; and four great grandchildren, Christian, Jocelyn, Daniel and Scarlett.
The family suggest memorials be made to a favorite charity of choice.
