Robert "Bob" Paul Balliett

Robert “Bob” Paul Balliett, 84, of Amarillo died March 22, 2020.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Bob was born December 18, 1935 in Mahanoy City, PA to Lamar and Hazel Balliett. He proudly served in the Unites States Air Force. Bob was active on several boards including Herring Bank, the production TEXAS, Amarillo Air Force Base Historical Society and Ascension Academy. He was involved with the Amarillo Symphony, ballet and theatre. Bob was the president of the “Liars Club” with special friend, Burk Whittenburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patsy Balliett; brother, Thomas Balliett; and son, Roger Lamar Balliett.

Bob is survived by wife, Mary Sue Balliett; son, David Balliett and wife, Clair; grandson, Blaine Balliett; sister-in-law, Ruth Jane Balliett; and special friends, Carl and Carol Whited, Carla Swearingen at Herring Bank and Whitney Wells at Amarillo National Bank.

The family suggests memorials be made to Windridge Therapeutic Equestrian Center of East Texas, PO Box 680, Diana, Texas 75640 or Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, 2222 Welborn, Dallas, Texas 75219 to honor his only grandchild, Blaine Davis Balliett.
