Roberto Villela

Roberto Villela, 66, of Amarillo passed away November 30, 2019.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 5, 2019 at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Roberto was born May 22, 1953 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Domitilo Villela and Isabel Lucero. He attended Asarco 123 School in Santa Barbara Chihuahua, Mexico. In 1972, he married Irma Hernandez and together, they started a family. Roberto loved building or fixing things around the house. He enjoyed watching soccer and singing karaoke. He was a wonderful father and “Welo” to his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Irma Villela; and 2 brothers, Rene Villela and Oscar Villela.

Roberto is survived by his wife, Patricia Pichardo Mendez-Villela; children, Juan Villela and wife Heather, Roberto Villela, Jr. and Janette Chavez and her husband Alejandro; grandchildren, Alessandra, Sorianna, Alex, Jermiah, Jarret, Ariana, Isai, Marissa, Anais, George, Jordan, Ariana, Caleb and Chris; great-grandchildren, Rene, Lila, Bennett and Paul; brothers, Juan Villela and wife Eva, Ramon Villela and Lucio Villela and wife Theresa; sisters, Elba Carrillo and husband Jose, Velia Duarte and husband Luis, and Elizabeth Villela and husband Pedro; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
