Robert Tyler Morgan age 36 formally of Amarillo passed away on March 31, 2022 in Somerville, Massachusetts.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Gail Stennis, retired pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church will officiate. Local arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia. Tyler was born in Amarillo, Texas on March 11, 1986 to Karen and Oral Morgan. He graduated from Trinity Fellowship Christian School in 2004. He attended Amarillo College before moving to the Boston area to continue his education at Harvard Extension School. At the time of his death, Tyler was working for Apple where he began his career over 10 years ago. He was better known as “Tex” to his many friends and colleagues.
He was very talented in his field; at only 19 years old he won a Webby Award for the personal website category and enjoyed a trip to New York City for the Webby Awards Ceremony. For many years Tyler had a passion for cycling and once cycled his way from Amarillo to St. Louis, Missouri.
Tyler was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Morgan (Grandad), Andy Guyette (Papa) and Raymond Farrow (Grandpot).
He is survived by his mother, Karen Ricker and husband Jon of Somerset, Kentucky; his father Oral Morgan and wife Janet of Amarillo; his sister Emily Morgan and fiancé Tyler Rich of Amarillo; his grandmothers, Sherrill Guyette (Grandma), Gay Morgan (Granny) and Ann Farrow (Nana); and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.
