Ronald Dean Harding, 72 of Amarillo died Wednesday, March 8, 2017.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Pastor Craig Albracht of Hillside Christian Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Ronald was born June 10, 1944 in Alva, Oklahoma to Melvin and Mildred Harding. He graduated from Alva High School. Ronald served two years in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. On March 5, 1983 he married the love of his life, Jane Orlds in Amarillo. They recently celebrated 34 years together.
Ronald went to work for Owens Corning and retired in 1998.He was a member of Hillside Christian Church. Ron was a huge fan of the Oklahoma Sooners and was known as the “Lawnmower Man”.
He was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Dub and Daila Orlds; and several brothers and sisters.
Ron is survived by his wife, Jane Harding of Amarillo; two daughters, Kristina Harding and husband Jason Stapleton of Rowlett, and Kathie Palmer of Canyon; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Jones and fiancé Johnny Henderson, and Berkleigh Crosby; great-grandchild, Lillian Henderson; sister, Ramona Muegge and husband Mike of Tonkawa, OK; brother, Leonard Harding and wife Verda of Fritch, and many more loving family and friends.
