Ronald “Ron” George Reinert, age 66 of Amarillo, died May 29, 2015 in Amarillo.
Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday at Hillside Christian Church West Campus. The Rev. Grant Hickman will officiate. Private interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Ron was born in Amarillo on May 31, 1948 to George and Patricia Reinert. He graduated from Tascosa High School. He attended the University of Texas at Austin and went on to earn his Bachelor in economics from West Texas State University. Ron spent thirty three years as a financial advisor.
Ron loved horseracing and the Texas Longhorn’s, but nothing compared to the love he had for his family and friends. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and friend.
He is survived by his loving soul mate, Cheri Glenn Reinert; his daughter, Rhoni Reinert Thompson and her husband J. Wallace Thompson of Houston; his sons, Mason Reinbold and his wife Brittany of Amarillo and Landon Reinbold of Amarillo; his sister Patty Patterson of Canyon; his two nieces and his four legged companions, Kaci and Rusty.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society
