Rosemary “Mamma” Brown
Rosemary Brown, 74 died December 13, 2013.
A Vigil will be held at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Memorial mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in St. Thomas the Apostle Church with Rev. John Valdez as celebrant and Rev. Scott Raef as concelebrant. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Rosemary was born January 15, 1939, in Richwood, West Virginia to Ernest and Dorothy Wayne. Rosemary met and married her husband, of 56 years, Jim, in Tucson, AZ. Throughout her life she was always active and devoted to the church and her community. She was an active member of the Heart Association and Sacred Heart Women’s Guild. She will be remembered for being a loving Wife, Mother, Mamma, Gigi, Sister, Aunt Snookie and Friend. Everyone knew her as a mother to all and will always remember her positive outlook in any situation. She genuinely loved everyone she met and was an inspiration to us all.
She was preceded in death by her brother Phillip and her parents Ernest and Dorothy Wayne.
Survivors include her husband Jim Brown of Amarillo, her sons Aaron (Beth) of Amarillo, Eric (Terri) of Guymon, Oklahoma, Kenneth (Lisa) of Boys Ranch Texas, Kory (Michelle) of Amarillo and her daughter Qynn (Jerry) McCann of Lubbock, Texas. Rosemary had 15 grandkids: April, Brad, Jared, Brandi, Tanner, Matthew, John, Seth, Dalton, Sterling, Swasey, Kiersan, Shelbie, Anthony, and Kylee and 11 great grandkids: Bryce, Laehlan, Kinsley, Emily, Brady, Isabel, Braxton, Brady, Ariah, Grason and Liam. She is also survived by her brother, Ernest (Cheryle) Wayne of Phoenix, AZ, and her sister, Melanie (David) Clausen of Tucson, AZ.
The family suggests memorials be given to St. Martin’s Catholic Church, 1507 North Adams, Amarillo, Texas 79107
