Roy Cutrell, 85, of Amarillo died Saturday, November 10, 2012.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Hillside Christian Church, Amarillo South Campus, 6901 South Bell, with Mr. Cecil Burch and Roger Arnold officiating.
Roy was born December 31, 1926 in Direct, Texas to Herman and Ruby Cutrell. Roy married Bettye November 1, 1947 in Memphis, Texas. They started Cutrell Trucking in 1961 and retired from the business in 1992. Roy was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Bettye, and a daughter Sharon.
Survivors include his daughter Judy DeShong and husband Murphy of Amarillo, a sister Clara Davis of Lubbock, a brother Marvin Cutrell of Washburn, 3 Grandchildren, Kristi Allen and husband Tony of Amarillo, Chip Gress of Amarillo, and Shaun DeShong and wife Michelle of Amarillo, Two Great-Grandchildren, Dustin Allen of Amarillo and Cassidy DeShong of Amarillo.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
