Roy W. Linton, 60, loving husband, father and grandfather, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 17, 2020
Roy was born April 15, 1960 in Amarillo to Roy L and Florene Linton. He graduated from Caprock High School in May of 1978. After high school Roy joined the United States Air Force and served faithfully for 4 years. He then returned to Amarillo and attended Texas Tech Institute where he earned his degree in Diesel Mechanics. After earning his degree, he was hired by the City of Amarillo and work in the Bus Barn until in January 1994 when he was hired to work at Pantex as a Diesel Mechanic and he later continued his education to became an EVT Technician. His absolute favorite thing was to work on the Fire Trucks.
Roy married the love of his life Cynthia on January 19, 1979 and together they were members of His Church. Roy has faithful served God for over 40 years. He was a wonderful husband and a loving grandfather who adored his grandbabies.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Linton, daughters Corrina M. Hoffman her husband Colby, Rachel L. Linton and one son Jordan W. Linton; his sister Dorothy Bailey her husband Wayne and one brother Daniel M. Linton; grandchildren, Nathaniel Hoffman, Breeanna Hoffman, Zachary Linton, Shane Linton, Elisha Linton, Abriella Linton and McKenzie Linton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy L. Linton and Florene Linton and one sister Pat Ballard.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at His Church, Amarillo, TX. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
