Roy E. Wilson, 88 of Amarillo, died August 21, 2012.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, August 24, 2012 in Llano Cemetery with Rev. Josh Kouri of Trinity United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Roy was born June 26, 1924 in Amarillo to Frank and Beulah Wilson. Mr. Wilson served in the US Navy during WWII. He married Dottie Wilson August 31, 1947 in Amarillo. Mr. Wilson was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Roy owned and operated Wilson Mill and Elevator Supply for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie in 2003 and a grandson, Christian in 2007.
Survivors include his daughters, Jeanene Pinkerton and husband Ken, and Vicki Greer and husband Noel, his son, Geno Wilson and wife Kathryn, his brothers Fred Wilson and Ed Wilson, his sister, Becky Stevens, his grandchildren, Cassi, Carly, Cade, Bonni, Jennifer, and Stephanie, seven Great Grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family suggests memorials be made to Meals on Wheels, 219 West 7th Avenue, Amarillo, TX 79101.
