Ruby Rutledge

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 5, at South Georgia Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Ruby was born November 11, 1930, in Cave City, Arkansas to Guy and Bertha Keller Wright. She married James Vernon Vanderford April 5, 1949, and they enjoyed 35 years together prior to his death in 1989.  She married Roy Rutledge in 1994.Mrs. Rutledge loved the Lord and was a charter member of South Georgia Baptist Church.  She was a food service supervisor, cooking for many churches and nursing homes throughout Amarillo.  She loved her family and supported them in all their activities.Preceding her in death are her husband Roy in 2003; her parents; and two brothers, Neill Wright and Nelse Wright.Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia Vanderford and D’Adiere McAlister of Amarillo; three sons, Robert Vanderford of Glendale, CA, Jon Vanderford of Amarillo, and Jeff Vanderford of Canyon; a sister, Barbara Chaffin of Abilene; two brothers, Robert Wright of South Carolina, Wade Wright of San Antonio; and ten grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the South Georgia Baptist Church Building Fund, 5209 S.
