Sadie N Shields

Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday June 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Msgr. Joseph Tash will officiate. Burial will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Amarillo, TX. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Sadie was born in Thibodaux, Louisiana to Paul and Francis Nicosia. She graduated in 1946 in Independence Louisiana. Sadie was a homemaker for many years and enjoyed reading, and crocheting. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Sadie was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Francis Nicosia and late husband John Coleman Shields. She is survived by two daughters Lisa Douglass of Amarillo, Nina Carroll and husband Don of Amarillo, Son Havon Knighton and wife Evelyn of Amarillo, 9 Grandsons, Chance Douglass, Ethan Douglass, Jordan Carroll, Taylor Carroll, Paul Knighton, Philip Knighton, Jeremy Cunningham, Brent Shields, Todd Shields.
