Sally Louise Benton Langley, age 100, died September 16, 2012 in Amarillo.
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church Chapel. Dr. Howard Batson will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Mrs. Langley was born on June 20, 1912 in Mecklenberg County, North Carolina to Harry and Effie Benton. She married John Edward Langley in December 1944; he preceded her in death on July 27, 1978.
Mrs. Langley was a long time member of First Baptist Church and the Pilgrim Sunday School Class; she also worked in the Nursery and Beginner Departments for over ten years.
She worked in retail sales in Virginia before moving to Amarillo where she worked at JC Penney. Mrs. Langley retired in 1977
She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, John Benton Langley in March 2012.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan Ellen Langley of Amarillo; a son Thomas Edward Langley of San Marcos; her grandson, Mike Langley of Austin; her great granddaughter, Gabriella Cordero of Hutto, and many loving extended family members and friends.
The family suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
