Sandra Marie Whitson

Rosary Service will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 2, 2010 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church.  Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Principal Celebrant Patrick J Zurek and con-celebrant Msgr. Joseph Tash officiating.  Burial will be at Umbarger Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Sandra was born to Carl Anthony Kleuskens and Helen Rose Hoffman Kleuskens on July 20, 1958 in Canyon, Texas.  She graduated from Hereford High School in 1976.  She attended West Texas State University and Texas Tech where she majored in Business.  She was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.  She married Phillip Whitson on May 26, 1979 at St. Mary’s Church in Umbarger, Texas.  She worked for Amarillo Independent School District and the Diocese of Amarillo.  She loved to do anything related to crafts and was an avid and professional seamstress.  She was a former resident of Lafayette, Louisiana of 17 years.  She was a member of St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.She is preceded in death by her father, Carl Anthony Kleuskens.Survivors include her husband, Phillip; daughter, Brittany Shuffield and husband Andrew of Amarillo; son, Brandon Whitson and wife, Darcey of Amarillo; mother, Helen Rose Hoffman Kleuskens of Amarillo and grandchildren, Madison, Tommy, Ryahn, Taylyn and Braylee all of Amarillo; two sisters, Linda Brown and husband, Tommy of Amarillo, and Beverly Adcock and husband Mike of Amarillo; and brother, Dale Kleuskens and wife Tonya of Canyon, Texas.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to BSA hospice, c/o Olivas Angels, P.
