Sergio Duran, 54, of Amarillo died May 8, 2014.
Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 11, 2014 in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM, Monday, May 12, at St. Laurence Catholic Church with Fr. Phillip Alvarez as celebrant. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Sergio was born May 5, 1960 in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Esteban and Consuelo Duran. He worked as a personal assistant to Mr. J. A. Wittenburg III for more than thirty years. Sergio was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and Tata. He was always smiling and loved to dance and garden. As a man who lived for his family, he will definitely be missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a brother, Luis Duran; and a niece, Tanya Duran.
Sergio is survived by his wife Maria de Lourdes of Chihuahua, Mexico, his father; two daughters, Marcia and Alina Duran, both of Amarillo; three sons, Alan Duran, of Amarillo, Sergio Duran, of Childress, and Geovanni Duran, of Chihuahua, Mexico; two sisters, Veronica Duran and Lupe Garcia; two brothers, Manuel and Paco Duran, all of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Darron Ryan Reyes and Kyler Roberto Valdez; and many nephews and nieces.
Family suggests memorials be made to Olivia’s Angels c/o BSA Hospice.
