Shannon Marie Doyle, 52, of Amarillo, TX, died of cancer Friday, August 26, 2011. Final Farewell services will be Monday, September 26, 2011 at 5:00 PM at Honolua Bay Slaughter House Beach. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas.
Raised in Lexington, KY, she later lived many years in Boston, Maui and finally Amarillo.
Shannon’s ability to cook, paint and charm was recognized and appreciated by her many friends and loved ones who adored her beautiful smile and distinctive laugh. She lived with passion and all who knew her appreciated her spirit, love of life and great ability to laugh at the small things that somehow mattered.
Predeceased by her parents, Betty Ann Mead of Hamilton, MA and Walter Doyle of Lexington, KY, she is survived by her beloved husband, Don “Keith” Schaefer, her stepdaughters, Kiana and Chloe; her father-in-law, Tom Schaefer, and his extended family; her sister, Elizabeth Dick and her husband, Chris, and their children, Christopher and Sarah of Beverly, MA; her sister, Sallie Boulet-Gercourt, and her husband, Denis, and their children, Pascal, Alain and Nicolas of Paris, France; her brother, Walter Doyle and his wife, Lee, and their children India and Wyatt of Beverly, MA; her stepbrother, Stephen Mead, and his family of Brookline, MA; her stepbrother, David Mead, and his family of Dedham, MA; her stepsister, Susie Dorsey, and her family of Hamilton, MA; and longtime friend, Richard Davidson of Maui, Hawaii.
