Sharon L. Johnson

Sharon L. Johnson, 76, of Amarillo died November 20, 2018.

Rosary will be said today at 6:00 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2018 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 4100 Coulter St. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Sharon was born August 26, 1942 in Hutchinson, KS to Gordon and Francis Hermes. She married Richard Johnson on June 16, 1962. Sharon was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, a member of the Divine Mercy Chaplet and made rosaries with the Rosary Club.  She was always giving of herself to her family and friends.  Sharon loved gardening, reading books and baking.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Ruth Ann Kirkby.

Sharon is survived by her husband Richard Johnson; 2 daughters, Stephanie Johnson and Robin Johnson both of Amarillo; 1 son, Richard A. Johnson and wife Margie of Denver, CO; 1 brother, Myron Hermes and wife Marigail Jury of Hutchinson, KS; 3 grandchildren, Adam Johnson, Brandon Moore and Nicholas Johnson; 1 great-grandson, Greyson Dillard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or American Heart Association.
