Sharon Lee Lang, 66, of Amarillo, died Monday, May 13, 2013.
The family held private memorial services. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas.
Sharon was born January 21, 1947, in Liberal, Kansas, to Arthur Rice and Margaret Thompson Rice.
Sharon worked many years as a home health care nurse and loved taking care of her patients. She also took great pride in the accomplishments, whether big or small, of her daughters and grandchildren. Sharon had a big heart and never met a stranger. She had a very unique and special bond with her granddaughter, Kalee, whom she raised. They were "two peas in a pod." She also adored her two dogs, Sage and Layla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Willard; and her half-sister, Darla.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberly, of Birmingham, Alabama, Karla, of Dalhart,Texas, Keia, of Amarillo, Texas; nine grandchildren; Denette, AJ, Sawyer, Bridget, Stephanie, Brandi, Kalee, Keegan and Karleigh; ten great-grandchildren; and a half-brother, David.
