To her three children Sherri was their cheerleader in sports, their tutor/homework monitor, counselor, guide listener, and always their best friend. To her grandson, Sherri was his Mamo, the one who read to him, sang to him, walk with him, and take him to special places. To her four sisters, Sherri was their “little red caboose” She sometimes laughed that she had five mothers; although other times she lamented that fact. Sherri taught at Boys Ranch for 19 years. She felt she was a positive influence on her students who always knew she cared about them. Sherri attended Paramount Baptist Church for forty years. She taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Summer TAP programs, and worked in Childcare. Sherri’s life was her family, her church, and her school.
