Sherry Christine Allen, 54, of Amarillo died on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
Memorial Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Pinnacle Community Church with Kurt Oheim officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Sherry was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated from Caprock High School in 1985. While still attending high school Sherry also attend Exposito School of Hair Design, earning her State of Texas Cosmetology license in 1984. Sherry worked 34 years in the Hairstyling business and worked within Hair Salons in Amarillo. In 2016, Sherry opened her own salon, Preston Alexander Salon & Blowout Bar. She worked at the Plants Hair Salon until her recent passing. The family would like to thank all her clients for all the years of loyal commitment they had to her, she truly loved all of you. Sherry was a friend to all and was the type of person that when she walked into a room, the whole room lit up with love and happiness. She was an incredible mother to four children, all of which she loved deeply. Sherry married the love of her life Howard E. Allen on August 28, 2021. Their relationship bloomed into a true romantic life of love for each other that was beyond measure.
She is survived by husband; Howard; children Megan Marshburn and husband Ross Marshburn and their sons, Alexander and Preston of Eglin AFB Florida; Molly Cyrier and husband Blake of Arlington, Texas; Shaun Allen and wife Sara and their children, Benjamin, Patrick and Emily of Dallas, Texas; Shanna Roden, and children Lincoln James and Kennedy Elizabeth of Celina, Texas; Matthew and Meredith Murff of Amarillo, Texas; sister Monica McCormick of Laguna Vista, Texas; brother Larry Dupont and wife Claudia of Phoenix and family.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to High Plains Children’s Home.
