Shirley Ann Deforest

Shirley was born on December 8, 1927 in Lima, Ohio to Clarence and Eva Bice.  She married Ernest James DeForest in 1952.  They were married for forty two years at the time of his death in 1994.  She was a vibrant, joyful woman who cherished her family and friends.  She was a member of the Highland Christian Church and the Red Hatter’s Club.She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Eva Marie DeForest; and a son Michael Lee DeForest.She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Stout and husband Tom of Amarillo; two sisters Nell Schulz of Florida and Judy Heath of Ohio; and other loving family members, Charlotte Whatley, Dara Whatley and C.J. Whatley.The family suggest that memorials be made in loving memory of Shirley to the Amarillo Animal Rescue Shelter, 12500 S. Washington Street Amarillo, Texas 79118.
