Shirley Ann Elton

Shirley Ann Elton, 74, of Amarillo died January 25, 2021.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 30, 2021 in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Shirley was born September 2, 1946 in Lawton, OK to Harold Clark and Lottie Diffey. She graduated from Palo Duro High School and married Jerry Elton in Pittsburg, TX. Shirley was a member of Life of Worship Church and worked for her fathers roofing company for many years. She then worked as secretary for Clark Roofing. Shirley was an avid reader and a wonderful cook.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Chris Nichols; and grandchildren, Nicholas Sinclair and Brandon Sinclair.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jerry: daughters, Misty Sinclair of Pinhurst, NC and Kim Thomas of Oklahoma; 3 sisters, Lynn Kimmons of Houston, Carolyn Gummelt of Amarillo and Janet Clark of Wichita Falls: brother, Sonny Clark and wife, Shirley of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren, Cameron Sinclair, Michael Sinclair, Don Thomas, Justin Thomas and Alan Thomas; and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to Amarillo SPCA or Life of Worship, 6301 S. Travis, Amarillo, TX 79118.
