Shirley (Lucero) Ralston

Shirley Ralston, age 77, of Amarillo, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on July 19, 2023.

Shirley was the youngest daughter of Frank and Mary Lucero, born August 6, 1945. She lived life to the fullest, creating beautiful works of art in oil painting, wood carving, spending time with her family, and caring for her many friends. She spent over forty-five years making her hair clients look and feel beautiful and knowing that, no matter what their struggles, she was there for them. Shirley was a woman of faith in Jesus and a faithful prayer warrior. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Chic, for 57 years and dedicated her entire life to being a mom to her sons, Ryan and Randy. Shirley went to heaven surrounded by family on July 19, 2023.

Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Frank Lucero, her mother, Mary Salazar Lucero, and her sister Judy Tenorio.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Norman (Chic) Ralston; her son Ryan and his three kids, Jude, Dinah, and Ellie; her son Randy and spouse Yuko; their three kids, Olivia, Lucas, and Juliette; and siblings Mary (Louisa) Perez, Cecilia Tenorio, Jessie (Baby) Coronado and her husband David, her brother Frank Lucero and his wife Susan, Thresa Fancher Roddy, and Frank Urbano Lucero and many nieces and nephews.

The family invites you to join them at an evening reception on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.  You will be encouraged to share your special memories of Shirley with them as we celebrate her remarkable life.
