Starla Ann Ham 50 of Dumas passed away on April 6, 2012 in Dallas.
Visitation will be from 6:30pm to 7:30pm Tuesday, April 10, at Schooler Funeral Home.
Graveside Service will be at 11:00am, on Wednesday April 11, 2012 in Memorial Park Cemetery with Marlin Ham officiating.
Starla was born on June 14, 1961 to Buddy and Ann Dowell in Amarillo. Starla graduated from Amarillo High School in 1979 and earned a BA in education from West Texas State University in 1983. She married Marlin Ham on September 20, 1998 in Dumas, Texas. Starla had worked as an investigator for Child Protective Services since March of 2006 until her health prevented her from working. She loved flowers, especially roses and was very, artistic. She created beautiful jewelry and had a knack for decorating. Starla loved grilling steak and lobster and visiting with her best friend Marlin. She was a member of Lighthouse Church in Dumas.
Starla is preceded in death by her father Henry “Buddy” Dowell.
She is survived by husband Marlin Ham of Dumas; her mother Ann Willingham of Amarillo; her brother Randy Dowell also of Amarillo; and a nephew Andrew “Andy” Dowell of Lubbock, Texas.
