Stefanie Lynn Armstrong, 32, of Amarillo, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 17th at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel at 4:30 PM. Mr. Brad Thompson of Southwest Church of Christ will officiate.
Burial will be in Merriman Cemetery in Ranger, Texas at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19th. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home 4100 S. Georgia St.
Stefanie was born August 7, 1983, in Odessa to Johnny and Tamara Armstrong. She graduated from Randall High School in 2005. Stefanie participated in Special Olympics since she was 8 years old. She attended state competitions in track, swimming and bowling. She worked for Texas Panhandle Center for 10 years.
Stefanie was preceded in death by her grandfather’s T.D. Orr “Paw Paw” and Vernon Armstrong “Grandpaw” and an Uncle Ronald Orr.
She is survived by her parents, a brother Steven Armstrong, all of Amarillo; her Nanny Bobbie Orr of Odessa, Grandma Vilene Armstrong, of Eastland; her aunt Teresa Orr of Odessa; great aunt and uncle Sheridan and Jerry Scott of Eastland; and great aunt Deloris Jones of Tool.
In lieu of flowers family suggests memorials be made to Special Olympics Texas
