Stephen graduated from Nazareth High School in 1979. He married Mary Jean Huseman on July 28, 1984. They have been longtime members of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and Stephen greatly enjoyed volunteering with St. Mary's youth groups. He owned and operated Stoneridge Builders, loved working with wood and was an incredible craftsman.
Mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a genuinely good and unselfish man, and was the most wonderful husband and dad anyone could have ever asked for. He was our angel sent down from heaven and an instrument of God's peace.
He was preceded in death by a brother Robert; his father, Lavern Wilhelm; and a sister-in-law, Lori Huseman.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Megan and Amy Wilhelm; two sons, Matthew and Jonathan Wilhelm; three sisters, Mary Beth Haschke and husband Gene and Dorothy Huseman and husband David, all of Amarillo, and Theresa Mullen and husband Michael of Virginia; three brothers, Henry Wilhelm and wife Lori of Nazareth, Cecil Wilhelm of Hereford and Damian Wilhelm and wife Stacy of Amarillo; his mother, Veronica "Ronnie" Wilhelm of Nazareth; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Louis and Virginia Huseman of Nazareth; three sisters-in-law, Becky Ramos and husband Jesse of Tulia, Bonnie Huseman of Amarillo and Jenny Teafatiller and husband Kerry of Littlefield; five brothers-in- law, Allen Freeman and Bart Huseman and wife Colleen, all of Amarillo, Paul Huseman and wife Edith of Nazareth, Greg Huseman and wife Sherita of Canyon and Mike Huseman and wife Shelly of Tulia; and many other loving family members and friends.
