Steven “Blair” Rush 33 of Amarillo, formerly of Cedar Park, Texas, died July 21, 2012. A celebration of his life will be at 11:00 a.m. on July 25, at Kingswood United Methodist Church, 4801 S. Austin St., with the Reverend Brad Reeves officiating. Private graveside services will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Blair was born on March 24, 1979 in Dalhart, Texas to Gloria Hudspeth and Jim Rush. He was employed by Karavel Shoes in Austin at time of this death. Blair fought acute myeloid leukemia for the past nine months.
He loved his friends and always wanted to make people laugh. He could act out entire scenes from his favorite movies. He was always the life of the party and lived life to the fullest.
He was preceded in death by his Maw Maw, Jean Alward.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria Hudspeth and step-father Harvey; father, Jim Rush and step-mother Judy all of Amarillo; sister, Kristain Brinkley and husband Chad of Austin; step-sisters, Allison Ricketts and husband Zane of Canyon and Renee Ferrell and Shane; nephew and niece, James and Kathryn Ferrell; his grand-parents Bobbie Hawrysz and Bud Alward of Amarillo; aunt and uncle, Cindy and Mike Alward of Dalhart; cousins Jennifer Oliver and husband, Justin of Amarillo and Jason Alward of Dalhart; special friends, Dana Dutschmann, Shawn Evans, Marcus Gentry and Tamra Reed.
