Mrs. Gatlin was born July 27, 1945 in Huntington Park, California. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1963. Sue went on to St. Anthony’s School of Nursing, Amarillo College, then to West Texas State University and earned a BA in nursing. She married Bill Miracle in 1965, he preceded her in death. She then married Carrol Gatlin in 1980. Mrs. Gatlin taught for AISD as a health education teacher. Sue loved her family, music, church, and cooking. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Mozelle Cooper Hayes; husband Bill Miracle, and daughter in-law Rachel Miracle.
SURVIVORS: Husband Carrol Gatlin of Amarillo; daughter, Sarah Scott and husband Lance of Lubbock; five sons, David Miracle and wife Laurie of San Antonio, Brent Gatlin and wife Tina of Corpus Christi, Jon Miracle and wife Alicia of Brussels, Belgium, Lance Gatlin and wife Belinda of Friona, Mark Miracle and wife DLynn of Bushland; sister Carmen Goodwin of Amarillo; and 14 grandchildren, Abby, Bethany, Moriah, Emma, Chloe, Madison, Landon, Morgan, Leighton, Trett, Rayce, William, Hadley, and Tatum.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Paramount Baptist Church, Women’s Ministry, 3801 South Western, Amarillo, Texas 79109
