Sue Schroeder Lis, age 77 of Amarillo, died June 28, 2015 in Amarillo.
The Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel on Tuesday, June 30th.
The funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Rev. John Valdez will celebrate. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Sue was born Feb. 1, 1938 in El Paso, Texas to Vernon and Clara Schroeder. She married the love of her life, Gerald on August 25, 1956 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
The family moved to Amarillo in 1965. Sue was a wonderful homemaker and delighted in caring for her family. She also was a talented cosmetologist and taught for several years. Sue was exceptionally creative, with many talents. She was a self-taught seamstress and was a very talented creator of porcelain dolls and ceramics.
She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She loved her church and was very active until her health prevented her from doing so.
Sue was preceded in death by parents, her children, Cheryl Renee and Todd Allen; by her sister Verna Kay and by her brother Vernon.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; her two nephews James and Sean Stone; and a brother-in-law Gene Stone.
